Data Usage & Privacy Notice
1. Data Controller
Your personal information is collected, controlled, and protected by Cinesen Film Studio (“Cinesen”, “we”, “us”), registered at Archiepiskopou Kyprianou 15B, Strovolos 2059, Nicosia, Cyprus. For all data governance or privacy inquiries, contact us directly at cinema@cinesen.com.
2. Purpose of Processing & Lawful Basis
We collect and process your contact credentials, professional background, showreel links, CV, gear proficiencies, and rate expectations exclusively to assess your creative suitability for upcoming film, wedding, and commercial productions. Processing is lawfully anchored under:
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: Performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your explicit request prior to entering into a freelance or employment contract.
- Article 6(1)(a) GDPR: Your explicit consent to retain and review your creative dossier for upcoming productions.
3. 12-Month Talent Retention Period
In high-end cinematography and wedding production, seasonal and commercial projects evolve continuously throughout the calendar year. We securely retain your application dossier, portfolio links, and communication records for a maximum duration of exactly 12 months from the date of submission. This enables our directors to reach out to you as new productions, international shoots, or creative assignments arise. At the conclusion of this 12-month period, your records are permanently and securely deleted from our talent database unless you request otherwise.
4. Confidentiality & No Commercial Sharing
Your creative work, rates, and personal details are treated with strict studio confidentiality. We never sell, lease, or distribute candidate data to external third parties, marketing lists, or recruiters. Access is strictly limited to Cinesen's core creative directors and hiring production coordinators.
5. Your Rights Under European Law
Under EU GDPR Chapter III and Cyprus Law 125(I)/2018, you maintain full control over your personal data at all times:
- Right of Access (Art. 15): You may request confirmation of and access to all personal data held about you.
- Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You may update or correct your portfolio links, phone number, or details at any time.
- Right to Erasure / “To Be Forgotten” (Art. 17): You have the absolute right to have your data permanently deleted from our records prior to the 12-month mark.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time without any negative impact simply by sending an email to cinema@cinesen.com with the subject line “GDPR Erasure Request”. We will expunge your records within 72 hours.
